Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando? Family vacations are quite and investment, and prior planning can add to the relaxation and enjoyment you have on that vacation. Why not make the most out of your Disney vacation by taking the time to plan before you leave.

PLAN YOUR TRANSPORTATION:

If you will be driving to the Central Florida area, you will already have a car. If not, you may want to rent a care for travel convenience. The area is quite spread out and this will give you an option for travelling off Disney property, if desired.

If you plan to stay on Disney property, Disney transportation is a good option for travel to the parks. The $12 parking fee at the parks can really add up.

PLAN YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS:

Disney offers a wide range of hotel types at prices ranges for just about everyone. Staying on the Disney property does offer many conveniences, such as Disney transportation and early admission to the parks. You can choose from Disney Value Resorts, Disney Moderate Resorts, Disney Deluxe Resorts, and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts.

PLAN YOUR SITE SEEING:

MAGIC KINGDOM - The Magic Kingdom is the oldest of the Walt Disney World parks and it well loved by children and adults alike.

EPCOT - Epcot offers many educational exhibits (including hydroponic greenhouses in The Land), rides, and the World Showcase. Each country in the World Showcase will tell you a little about the country, offer a restaurant and shopping. There are also many character viewing opportunities and children's craft stations throughout Epcot.

DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS - At Disney's Hollywood Studios you can enjoy learning how movies are made. Some of the attractions include Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM - Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great way to enjoy the animals in a natural setting. There is a great Kilimanjaro Safari rice in the Africa section, and a Kali River Rapids in the Asia section. Show up early in the day for a better view of the animals.

DISNEY WATER PARKS - Disney offers two water parks for a refreshing adventure. Disney's Blizzard Beach was created to look like a ski resort, and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon offers a surfing themed park.

PLAN WHAT TO PACK:

COMFORTABLE SHOES FOR EVERYONE - You will be walking a lot on your trip. There is a lot to see, and a great deal of distance to cover daily.

SWIM SUITS - You may not think of bringing a swim suit if it's cooler weather, but it's always nice to have available. Most hotel pools are heated and whirlpools are common.

LIGHT JACKET - Even in warm weather there are times for a light jacket. Many evenings are windy, and often restaurants are over air conditioned. This may also come in handy for an afternoon rain shower.

COMFORTABLE CLOTHES - Pack mostly clothes for comfort for your long days at the parks. Check the weather forecast the week before you leave for updated expected weather.
