Have you been elected to put on a Thanksgiving bash this year?  No doubt that you have wondered how much damage it will do on the old bank account.  Sadly, several people find themselves in this predicament as they do not have as much money to spend as they wish they had.  This want even cause you to change your mind about the party, but it shouldn’t. There are lots of various ways that you can go about putting on a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner without busting your budget.

The best place to start when planning Thanksgiving on a budget is to plan everything. You should plan exactly what kinds of foods you will serve at your party, exactly the number of guests you will feed, as well as the types of entertainment you will have.  This detailed list will help you to nail down exactly how much money you will need to spend to get everything that you need.  Of course, the rubber will meet the road when it comes to you expect to pay and what you will actually pay. This is what will save you in the end. You will want to capitalize on those items that you can get cheaper than what was budgeted.

After you have prepared your list of what is needed, including food and other party goodies, you should then determine exactly how much money you have on hand to spend on your Thanksgiving dinner.  If you happen to see a difference between what you want to spend and what you have to spend, you should be able to cut a few corners. While it would be awfully nice to put on a Thanksgiving party of your dreams, you certainly do not want to go bankrupt doing so.
