There are many sites on the internet other than Bukisa where your can make money writing articles. I am going to introduce one this time. eHow.com is a community where people post instructional articles to show others how to do anything. It is user friendly and members are very friendly eand ncouraging one another. Unlike Bukisa, which pays per 1000 views by the pay index, eHow has a more complicated pay schedule.

Most of us became a member of eHow as an end result of searching for instructions to do a project, or an answer to some mind bugging questions we have. If you have a slight passion to write, mixed with a tiny thirst to learn, you are hooked. Once you see the dollars and dimes adding up in your earnings, you become obsessed; when you claim your first payment, an eHow addict is born! I have received many emails from members to ask these common questions: How Can People Make Money Writing Articles on eHow? Why do I need to make friends? How much can I expect to make? Here goes my humble two cents.

eHow, like many websites and bloggers, make its revenue through Google Ad sense. Companies pay to have their links present on these sites to advertise their products or services. When browsers click on their links, eHow gets paid. If the links happen to be on your article page, you get a portion of that income. I won’t go into details of how many ways companies can choose to pay or how eHow compensates the writers. What matters to you is how to write and what to write about if you are serious about making passive money doing what you enjoy – writing! If you are looking to pay for your mortgage or rent, or to support your family, this is not the place you should spend your time and effort in.

There are some great writers in the eHow community. Some are virtually writing machines producing quality articles. One common complaint I constantly hear is that their articles do not get enough views, or generate enough income even when they have hundreds of views. Making friends with other eHow members is important for your success. We read, rate, comment and make recommendations (RRCR) for one another. The more your links gets clicked, the higher ranking you get with search engines. That in turn gives your links more exposure.

More importantly, you need to utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to promote your links. Selection of keywords needs to be dealt with more thoughts and care. Bottom line, you need traffic. Great articles + Friends = Traffic + SEO + Good Keywords = More Traffic + Clicking on Ads = Money

How much can you expect to make depends on your article content. Some will generate more earnings than others. You have to figure out and experiment with what your write. On the average, you should expect average $1.50 per article per month, with some earning more than others. Some may bring you nothing month after month. My goal is to write 500 articles and make $2000 a month by end of the year. Remember this money keeps coming even if I stop writing afterwards. There are other similar sites like eHow and Bukisa where you can post your articles to and also get paid. This is killing a few birds with one stone.
