Kegel exercises work to strengthen and tone pelvic floor muscle. They can also help women to increase bladder and bowel control and may also increase sexual gratification. Kegel exercises are great for pregnant women, post partum women and women who just want to strengthen their pelvic muscles. Kegel exercises can be done just about anywhere.
I read that it isn't recommended that you routinely do them while on the toilet though.

Now that you have located the appropriate muscles you can begin doing Kegel exercises.

Firmly tense your targeted Kegel muscles.

Hold for as long as you can or up to 10 seconds. Don't worry if you can't hold it long at first, just keep practicing.
