I am a Filipino and I speak Filipino. It is the official language of the Philippines, my native land. The longest known word in Filipino is“Nagsisipagsinungasinungalingan”. It has 30 letters and means pretending as if telling lies. The root word is "sinungaling" or "lie".

The longest Swedish word according to Guinness World Records is

2.) Maori

The longest Maori word is the proper noun “Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaewhenuakitanatahu”. It has 85 letters and is the longest place name in the Maori language. It is also the longest place name in an English-speaking country.

It contains 79 letters which means “Association for subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services”

4.) Turkish

The longest Turkish word is muvaffakiyetsizleştiricileştiriveremeyebileceklerimizdenmişsinizcesine”. It is a 70 letter word which means “Like you are from those we could not make easily a maker of unsuccessful ones”.

5.) Polish

The longest word in the Polish language is dziewięćsetdziewięćdziesięciodziewięcionarodowościowego. It has 54 letters and it means “of nine-hundred-ninety-nine nationalities”.

6.) Danish

The longest Danish word is Speciallægepraksisplanlægningsstabiliseringsperiode”. It has 51 and is the longest Danish word that has been used in an official context. This very long word means “Period of stability planning for specialist doctor practice”.

7.) Welsh

The longest Welsh word is “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch”. This 51 letter long word is the name of a railway station on the island of Anglesey in Wales which means “St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave”.

8.) Dutch

The longest Dutch word is Kindercarnavalsoptochtvoorbereidingswerkzaamheden”. It has 49 letters and it means “preparation activities for a children’s carnival procession”.

9.) Portuguese

The longest Portuguese word is the 46 letter word

“pneumoultramicroscopicossilicovulcanoconióticos”. It is the carrier of the disease pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

10.) Hungarian

The longest Hungarian is Megszentségteleníthetetlenségeskedéseitekért”. It has 44 letters and it means “for your keeping behaving as if you could not be profaned”.

11.) Russian

The longest Russian word is “nikotinamidadenindinukleotidfosfatgidrin”. It has 40 letters which means nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate.

12.) Slovak

The longest Slovak word is Znajneprekryštalizovávateľnejšievajúcimi”. It is 40 letters long which means with “most anti crystallizing” in plural.

13.) Bulgarian

The longest Bulgarian word is Ne protivokonstitutsionstvuvatelstvuvate”. It means “Do not act against the Constitution” and has 39 letters. "

14.) Norwegian

The longest Norwegian word is menneskerettighetsorganisasjonene” it contains 33 letters and it means “the organizations of human rights”. In theory, it is possible in Norwegian language to make word as long as one wants. For example, menneskerettighetsorganisasjonssekretæren” it means “'the secretary of an organization of human rights”.

15.) Lithuanian

The longest word in the Lithuanian language is the word is “nebeprisikiskiakopusteliaudavone”. It is 32 letters long which means “to pick wood-sorrels”.

20.) French

21.) Spanish

The longest Spanish word is electroencefalografistas”. It is a 24 letter word which is referred to people who practice electroencephalography. The 27 letter word superextraordinarísimamente”, which means “extremely superextraordinary’, has been challenged for lack of popular use.

22.) Serbian

The longest Serbian word isprestolonaslednikovica”. It is a 24 letter word which means “the throne successor’s wife”.

23.) Hawaiian

The longest Hawaiian word is “Humuhumunukunukuapua'a”. It is a proper noun and has 21 letters. It is the name of the Hawaiian state fish which is commonly known as the Wedge-Tail Triggerfish.

24.) Hebrew

The longest word in Hebrew isukhshele-entziclopedioteinu”. It has 19 letters and it means “and when to our encyclopedias”.

25.) Vietnamese

The Vietnamese language like Chinese language, do not have long words. The longest Vietnamese word is the 7 letter word “nghieng”which means ‘inclined’.

Not too sure if this is considered as ONE word or set of words. However it does have the reputation of being the longest name of a City.

Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Yuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Phiman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit

Above is the official ceremonial name for Bangkok. The shorter form is Krug Thep Mahanakhon. It is difficult to understand Thai language but the popular view is that the above mentioned official name remains the single longest word written in western script. It definitely holds record for the longest name of a city.
