The ghostly historical landmarks leave us fascinated, and intrigued to know, and see more. To uncover the mysteries behind the tales of haunting apparitions that appear out of thin air. And the eerie sounds from a time long gone continue to frighten us. leaving us wanting to know more, and to have a peek into the unknown. A simple glimpse into another worldly dimension.

1. The Whaley House
   The museum was once a home that has since been described as the most haunted house in America. The land was the site of hangings before the home was built. One such person hung here was Yankee Jim Robertson. It is said he still haunts the place. Mr. Whaley was there for the hanging of Yankee Jim. Mr. Whaley later bought the home even though it was at the site of several hangings. It is said that he remains here haunting the house that is now a museum; along with several others including a ghost dog.

2. El Campo Santo Cemetery
   In 1849 the land was a Catholic Cemetery containing 447 visible graves. Yankee Jim Robinson is buried here. Not all of the graves remain noticeable; half of them are under the avenue that is aligned with the cemetery. The forgotten graves that are under the busy roadway is said to be the cause of many unexplained phenomena that happens at the location. Sighting of ghosts, and scary sounds come from the area. Cars alarms go off unexpectedly, and car batteries die out unexpectedly that are parked along the roadway.

3. Robinson-Rose House
   Robinson built this two-story home in 1853 for his family. It is known for being haunted by several family members. Phenomena includes unexplained electrical difficulties, peoples hair being touched. Even an apparition of a man with a tie has been seen after hours in the building. The new building is a reconstruction of the first home. Mirroring the families original home. The location is in the Old Town State Historic Parks Visitor Center.

4. Hotel Del Coronado
   The Beautiful Victorian Resort is known for being haunted by a lady known as Kate Morgan. She shot herself in 1892 on the steps leading down to the ocean. She stayed in room 302 for five days before she committed suicide. The room is now room 3502. Kate Morgan's room is the most requested room in the hotel. There are numerous supernatural things that happen throughout the building. In addition, room 502 is reported to be haunted too.

5. Villa Montezuma
   Jesse Sheppard built his Villa Montezuma in 1887 and is said to still be here. Haunting the place. Visitors report hearing unexplained music playing and an apparition that looks out the window. Along with many other reports of supernatural events.

6. Horton Grand Hotel
   Built in the 1880's with many historical tales told that have lasted over the century of the ghosts that reside here. Come and stay in room 309 if you dare! Many ghostly things happen here from the bed shaking at night, to the lights and air conditioner turning off and on. Lots of unexplained, ghostly happenings here. There is believed to be many ghosts here. One of them is Madam Ida Bailey whom ran a Brothel at the location long ago. In addition, there are reports of ghosts on the staircase in the hotel.

7. McConaughy House
   A Victorian Home of 1887 is now a Law Building for lawyers. Which holds many tales of ghostly, and unexplained occurrences in the historical home. Recent reports from some of the lawyers that work here have told their own experiences of strange occurrences' of ghosts. From noises, to electrical disturbances, and apparitions. It is thought that the original owner; good old John McConaughy haunts the structure.

8. Star of India
   Built in 1863 is the worlds oldest active iron-hull ship. Known for being haunted by many entities that are believed to remain active on the ship. Hearing and seeing creepy sounds from the ghosts that died from sudden, and tragic deaths which occurred aboard the sailing ship. One of the alleged ghost's is a teenage boy named, John Campbell. He was found as a stow away in 1884 and was put to work. He would later die aboard the ship after a terrible accident; where he fell 100 feet, along with many other hauntings.
