Windows XP professional has been release on October 2001 and become the most stable operating system that has ever been release by Microsoft Corporation, beside this operating system is the most widely used all around the world. Microsoft has been releasing many operation systems, but none of that could compare with XP. Though, every products of Microsoft has many vulnerabilities, XP is the most secure one and love by it users.
== Graphical User Interface ==
Windows XP has an intuitive user interface, which introduce the start menu on the task bar as a starting point from accessing any applications that built in or installed. Plus the additions of search function that could be use for searching files and documents. Come with standard blue color scheme that could be customized to our preference. And there are many others theme that available widely in the internet whether it is free or not ready to download, as an addition to pre-installed theme.

Windows XP is the first Microsoft Operating System for desktop that pre-installed with the firewall, though the firewall only has the basic functions. Furthermore, that the TCP/IP filtering will give us more option to control the network security.
This is the first Windows system that required an authentication before user could access all the data and applications inside, though this feature could be override from the control panel.

From it release Microsoft has release many patches for securing the discovered vulnerabilities from time to time. The major fix names service pack or known as SP. There are 3 service pack has been release:
1. Service Pack 1 on September 202
2. Service Pack 2 on August 2004
3. Service Pack 3 on April 2008
