A look at a great crossover utility vehicle, the 2009 GMC Acadia

The 2009 GMC Acadia SLE is exactly what GMC advertises it as - a quality crossover utility vehicle at a great price. While the 2009 GMC Acadia SLE offers value, it also does not short-change the consumer on comfort, as it has all of the bells and whistles a buyer looks for. At a starting price of $32,625, the 2009 GMC Acadia SLE gets 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway, nice numbers for a vehicle that is not a compact. To top this off, the 2009 GMC Acadia has won a number of awards for safety and quality.

The 2009 GMC Acadia SLE will turn heads coming or going, with it's stylish and classy design. Starting with the 18 inch painted aluminum wheels on all-season tires and rear spoiler, the 2009 GMC Acadia combines the best of sports and luxury, and pulls it off well. Chrome door handles, front fog lamps, solar-ray deep tinted glass and heated outside power adjustable mirrors make a firm statement of quality. The 2009 GMC Acadia has brushed aluminum roof rails and a dual exhaust with chrome tips that accent the overall design nicely.

The 2009 GMC Acadia SLE is a surprisingly powerful vehicle, and is easily on the the top crossover utility vehicles in terms of possessing a durable and dominant motor. Powered by a 3.6 Liter V-6 engine that has an output of 288 Horsepower, the 2009 GMC Acadia is amazingly strong in this class. With 4 wheel disc anti-lock brakes and a 6 speed automatic electronically controlled transmission with overdrive, the Acadia is quite sound in the area of performance.

The interior of the 2009 GMC Acadia is luxurious and stylish, will all of the amenities one would expect. A three row 2-3-3 seating configuration is highlighted by a 4 way adjustable drivers seat, 5 gauge instrumentation and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Power windows and door locks, cruise control, air conditioning and a front center console with 2 cup holder and storage make for fun driving. The audio system consists of an AM/FM stereo with a CD player and MP3 capabilities, as well as XM radio with 3 trial months of service and 6 outstanding speakers.

The 2009 GMC Acadia has incredible safety features, starting with the driver and front passenger front and side airbags and head curtain side impact airbags. A tire pressure monitoring system, daytime running lights, and ONSTAR with a one year directions and connections plan complete a very good safety package.

As far as crossover utility vehicles go the 2009 GMC Acadia is top shelf, and is a very good purchase.
