Tuna Ziti in White Sauce
Can't think of a quick and easy-to-do snack for your parties? Grab a pen and paper guys, 'cause I have the perfect pasta for you!
My favorite part of Christmas last year was the the food of course! My manang (that’s what we call our eldest sister) came home this year for Christmas and she bought tons and tons of gifts and a new pasta recipe! :) mmm..delicious!
I uber loved it and here I'm gonna share it to everyone and i'm even gonna teach it (will try my best to remember each step *wink*). It's really easy..so don't fret..you can do it..AJA! :)
here it goes:
"Tuna Ziti in White Sauce"
Ingredients:
500g of Penne (that will be the pasta we'll be using, if you can't find any of that you can use all other pastas..but..it will no longer be called a ziti.. :) ), one big can of tuna flakes in oil, one big can of evaporated milk, one (or two if you like) 250mL all purpose cream, a stick of butter, a can of sliced button mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and chopped garlic
how to:
1) prepare all the ingredients..you'll have to cook the Penne..uhm..you know the routine.. :) just like cooking spaghetti! also, strain the tuna..
2) heat the pan in low fire..and melt half of the stick of butter..saute chopped garlic until golden brown.
3) pour in the ingredients in the following order: tuna, bacon, mushroom. then salt and pepper to taste. you can also add cheese and let it melt with everything.. :)
4) add evaporated milk and all purpose cream..let it simmer for a couple of minutes and voila! you now have your white sauce!
5) bring in the penne and pour the tuna white sauce on top of the pasta. Garnish with cheese or even basil if you want. you can add vegetables (like celery and the sort) but i don't really want some of those in my ziti..ahehe..not a veggie lover here.. --,
that would be the last step..tada! pasta goodness right before your very eyes!YUMMY! :D
hope the recipe's clear and i do hope you'd try it..'tis really really good!
