How to Get Your Child's Attention

Getting Infants and Children to listen to their parents is one of the most challenging parts of being a parent. IF you having a good day or a bad day it can be a day breaker if your child won;t respong to what you say

Having patience is the most important part of being able to communicate with your child. If you are upset it will only lead to them to follow and become upset. The more upset you get the more they will not respond to you or other members.

If you are going to lose you patience then you need to walk away. You may need a break. You might have had a really bad day. If you cannot get your child to respond to your requests simple walk away and take a few moments to regain a calmness. Once you are back undercontrol you can try your task again. You need to play the Good Cop and Bad Cop as parents. Weather the mother is the Good Cop and the Father is the Bad Cop does not matter. All that matters is that both of you have the same rules and when once tries to instutite those rules the nice way and your child still does not respond. The the bad cop comes into the situation and inforces the rules. I am not taking about a physical way. I am simple stating that strong words are used. If all else fails you may need to seek some assistance. May professionals handle child behavorial issues and parenting class can assist in those areas that are most concerning to you. Be Calm Be Stern Be The Best Parent you can be

love the idea of walking away to collect yourself…this should be practiced anytime you beging to loose patient, even when dealing with adults
