If you like the traditional Jello Shots, also called Jello Shooters, or Vodka Jelly, then you will LOVE these! This is the best way to make them where you won't even taste vodka. Most people make them too strong and they are not tasty at all (though I will tell you how to make the strong ones as well).

Before getting started, take your oranges and cut them in half. Spoon out the inside of the oranges, leaving just the peel. Blot the inside with paper towels to get it as dry as possible.
Your Jello package will tell you to boil 1 cup water and add it to the Jello mix in a bowl. Do this part just that way. Now, it will tell you to add 1 cup cold water. For this, you will mix 1/2 cup cold water and 1/2 cup cold vodka (any kind) and mix it in.

Pour your Jello mixture into the orange peels, and refrigerate until set, preferably you should make these at least the night before you need them, to ensure they are nice and firm. When they are done, slice each half into threes. You now have very unique Jello shots that will have your friends talking!

To make the stronger shooters, use 3/4 cup vodka and 1/4 cup cold water, or just replace all the cold water with vodka. If you do this, the Jello will not set as good, so make sure you have lots of time for them to chill. Also, using all vodka instead of cold water should not be used for the orange slice Jello shots, as they will not hold up well when you try to slice them.

Do not try putting your shots in the freezer to chill faster, they will not come out right.
