Suppressing Emotions Could Trouble Your Health!!

This would be totally wrong if you say that you never suppress your emotions...

In day to day life we many times, suppress our anger and antagonism by just not letting out our intense thought or feelings. We use up a lot of time and force suppressing these emotions as our mind refuses to give a way to express them. Many people use this method to get rid of uncomfortable thoughts and feeling, however they are not aware of the fact that this kind of suppression contributes to the commencement of many diseases.

Our mind and body are directly related to each other, if mind is not fit then it also put an adverse effect on our physical health. Whenever you try to reject a thought of some topic, you will wind up having more thoughts about that issue. This means that you are making more trouble for yourself when you are suppressing any kind of emotions.

There should be healthy expression of emotions to live a vigorous life. There are many healthier ways to regulate your emotions; you have to just be aware of them.

Engage yourself in another activity to distract your mind from a particular subject. This can be an effective way to control your emotions. There can be a time when anger gets a hold over you and you don't want to burst it out. Drink a glass of water and try to be calm.

Think positively about the matter. Consider the worse outcomes which would come as a result of your anger explosion. There is a strong possibility that you may hurt your loved ones by doing so. Do communicate but after a little while. Doing some breathing exercises will also help you stay cool and is a better way to overcome and manage your emotions.

Good tips…Suppressing your emotions actually creates a lot of pressure inside and bursts out when the pressure becomes too high… It definitely causes problems to your body as well, as you said… Excellent article
