How strong is your heart. This human heart diagram below is meant to show you what can happen to the human heart.

The human heart is the most essential part of anyone's body.  You can live without a brain [albeir braindead[, but you cannot live wihout a heart.  It is thus arguably the most important organ in the entire body, and should be treated well lest it decide to cause   When there's severe damtge to the heart, generally speaking the patient has a high chance of dying.  That's because the heart is the most complex organ in the body besides the brain.  If it got seriously injured, the body might not be able to naturally regenerate the lost parts.  No matter what culture you're talking about, all of them respect the heart for it's great power.  Even going back to the 18th and 17th centuries, it became clear that the heart was something truly understood only by a few learned scientists.

As you can clearly see here, the heart is a many layered and complex organ in the body.  Years upon years of evolution have perfected it to the point where it can pump blood throughout the body mostly effortlessly.  The human heart is truly incredible to be able to provide the body with all of the strength it needs to succeed in a given day.

Babies sometimes are born with heart defects, and those are always ths scariest because they can so quickly point the line from life and death.  The micro-valve prolapse is one of the more popular things that can happen to someone who experieinces heart problems.  In conclusion, this diagram should clean up any misconceptions that you have about the heart.  Good luck in your studies!!
