Some modern brides may not want to use wedding bouquets when they get married. Here are some unique wedding bouquet alternatives.

Many modern brides want to stray away from popular wedding traditions. Whether you are allergic to flowers or simply would prevent to use something more unique, there is a chance that you may not want to use bouquets of flowers at your wedding. Here are some unique suggestions for alternatives to wedding bouquets.

Parasols

Parasols, which are decorative umbrellas, can be a great option to consider in place of bridal bouquets. While white is the most common parasol color, there are plenty of other colors to choose from so that the bride the only one donning white on her wedding day. If you are opting for a country themed wedding, this can be a good alternative to wedding bouquets. Keep in mind that this option is most appropriate for outdoor weddings, as most churches will not allow the bride and bridesmaids to carry parasols down the aisle.

Feather Boas

Some brides may find that feather boas are compatible with their sassy personalities. A red, black or light pink feather boa may be an ideal choice. This can be a great choice for brides who are planning to have a Hollywood or red carpet wedding theme. That said, it can be the great addition to many bridesmaid dresses. It is important to make sure that the color combination that you opt for matches well. This is also an option which works best with outdoor weddings, as many conservative churches may not allow the bride and bridesmaids to wear feather boas in place of carrying flower bouquets.

Bouquets of Fake Flowers

If the reason the bride does not want to use a flower bouquet is because she is allergic to flowers, it is ideal for her to consider fake flower bouquets. Silk or feather flowers can be just as beautiful as fresh flowers. They won’t get your allergies going. Another benefit of this wedding bouquet alternative? Fake flowers are generally less expensive than fresh flowers and will also never die so they can be used again in the future. Whether you allow someone else to use them in their wedding or make decorative floral arrangements, this can be an ideal option.

There are many great alternatives to traditional wedding bouquets. No matter what your reason for not wanting to use a bridal bouquet which consists of fresh flowers is, the most important thing to keep in mind is that there are a variety of alternatives. Parasols and feather boas allow the bride to add a unique touch to her wedding, while fake flower bouquets can be an excellent option for brides who are allergic to fresh flowers.
