This is an in-depth review of the movie the Back UP Plan? It will tell you all of the interesting points and the not so good ones as well, so be sure to check it out.
The Back Up Planin brief is a story about a woman named Zoe (played by Jennifer Lopez) who has finally made up her mind to become a mother without having found the right guy to share her life with. She's sick of the dating game and guys in general after so much time as passed her by, Zoe so desperately wanting to be a mother books a doctor's appointment in which she'll be impregnated by a sperm donor. A couple of hours pass since the procedure's been performed, Zoe comes across a guy named Stan (played by Alex O'Loughlin) who's a stunningly beautiful man and happens to catch her eye through a particular incident. What started off as two people budding heads at first to a lovely couple that generally love each other. Than Zoe realizes after experiencing a couple of the symptoms of pregnancy, that on the very first try to the doctor's office, she's officially a mother. Zoe must inform the man she has come to love that being Stan that she is a pregnant and a soon to be mother in hopes that he won't just walk out of her life. Stan isn't all that sure at first, but he ends up swallowing his pride and commits to Zoe and the potential twins on the way. As Zoe nears giving birth to the twins, both Zoe and Stan aren't exactly sure what their future and their relationship may be like, or if they'll wait it out.

The Back-Up Plan is a movie with a very light but soft romantic comedy that portrays what life may be like if you were to start a family of your own but in counterclockwise or reverse order. Instead of having a man and getting a baby through the natural process of having a family, in this movie it's done in which the women gets a baby through an artificial way that being done through a sperm donor and than eventually finds the guy of her dreams in the process. This film is certainly got it's funny moments, a little bit of those touchy feely moments, and the whole family tale feeling which is to base your love and faith on your partner as well as accepting the things that she or he does whether you like it or not. This movie also shows to all of those women out there that are still a ton of decent men out there you just need a little bit of luck like Zoe in the movie. All of the women watching the movie can certainly relate to this movie, it shows all of the rough times that women go through during the carrying of the baby as well as going through the actual pregnancy. Alex O'Loughlin and Jennifer Lopez displayed fairly decent chemistry acting on the big screen in playing a couple and did a wonderful job in selling out their relationship, it did look believable.

The one aspect of the movie the Back-Up Plan I didn't quite like was as to how predictable this movie was, but on the other hand which movies aren't. This movie isn't all that boring or at least that bit phony because I did in fact find it as interesting movie. You do not necessarily need to have kids of your own to enjoy this film, or be an adult to like this movie. Jennifer Lopez does a great job in her role as Zoe and actually impresses me quite a bit. This has been Jennifer Lopez's comeback to making movies since it's been roughly five years since she's done anything other than getting married and having kids with Marc Anthony. Alex O'Loughlin also does a great job in his role as Jennifer Lopez's love interest, his performance imitates the exact responses a typical guy would display if your girlfriend were having a baby to perfection. I didn't really like the supporting characters they weren't all that funny they seemed to me to be a little bland and pointless. Some weren't all that bad but it just seemed like they just read their lines and that's about it like they didn't really do enough to deliver them in an impressionable way. I wouldn't consider this a great movie by any means but if this review catches your attention and you like what you've read so far than go ahead and do so but if I were you I would just wait until this comes out on dvd.
