kinder surprise
my opinion of kinder surprise and why i buy them now
I always loved these when i was a child and my little girls love them just as much now.
These are sold as singles at 48p each in my little corner shop or you can get a box of 3 of them from the supermarket for around £1.19p so will make quite a conciderable saving.
These dont seem to have changed in all these years since i was a child, you get a chocolate egg wrapped in tin foil and inside the egg you have a oval shaped plastic container that contains a toy.
The foil is realy easy to remove so will be very simple for young children to open, the chocolate it self is a very thin layer of white chocolate on the inside and a thin layer of milk chocolate on the out side. This chocolate does go soft quite easily if left in a warm place and looses its shape but doesnt seem to get the girls in too much of a mess, not that it lasts very long as there isnt a lot of it.
You cant realy tell the difference between the taste of the two chocolates as it is near impossible to split them to eat them apart (i have tryed) They taste very sweet, very milky with a creamy smooth texture.
The plastic egg is quite hard to open as you have to pull two ends apart, this is done easier if you put it inbetween some material like a tea towel and pull.
The toys inside differ quite a lot, there are sets you collect at different times throughout the year and lots of other little bits and pieces, my daughter was over the moon with a magnifying glass she got in hers on wednesday.
I can remember collecting the terrapins when i was little and the ghosts.
These are a great little treat for children as they get chocolate and a toy, there are small parts in the toys so dont let any children near them that will put them in there mouths, the age on them says 3 plus but my friend has a 5 year old son who swallowed the car in his kinder egg a couple of weeks ago, luckily it passed through ok.
I wouldnt justify buying them in singles as you get a lot better value for money buyig them in packs of 3.
