Offering delicious non-alcoholic drinks at your Halloween party is one of the responsibilities of a good host, this collection of fun and delicious Halloween mocktails will have people talking about your party for years to come. Whether you like the idea of Hunters Blood or a Shape Shifter's Mocktail you'll love these Halloween drinks recipes.
Halloween is a great time to throw a party, but trying to be a responsible host means offering up some non alcoholic choices. You can still add a spooky touch to these drinks in a variety of ways.
Mocktails are another word for non alcoholic cocktails such as Devil’s Juice and Hunter’s Blood. There are some great mocktails for all occasions listed at http://www.squidoo.com/mocktail, here I’ve found some which are specific for celebrating Halloween with.
For the vampires among us we can offer Hunter’s Blood……
¾ glass milk
½ cup ice cream
4-6 drops of red food coloring
This could not be easier to make, simply pop all of the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth and serve in a highball or hurricane glass.
Now if you’ve invited the devil along to your festivities then perhaps you should offer Devil’s Juice.
3 oz cranberry juice
3 oz tomato juice
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
Black pepper and salt to taste.
Mix all of the ingredients together in a mixing glass and sever over ice in a Collins glass.
Now Halloween is a time of magic, albeit black magic so if you’ve heard of a mocktail called Magical Potion then you’d have to serve it …… wouldn’t you?
2 tbsp pineapple juice
2 tbsp orange juice
¼ cup mango juice
¼ cup ginger ale
1 tbsp strawberry syrup
nutmeg
Mix together the fruit juices and strawberry syrup then pour into a wine glass and top up with ginger ale. Sprinkle a little nutmeg on the top to serve.
If you’ve invited any shape shifters to the party then they are sure to love your Shape Shifter Mocktail –
1 oz cranberry juice
1 oz blueberry juice
½ oz grenadine
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
2 oz club soda
This is so easy to make, simply mix the juices together in an old fashioned glass. Next place a scoop of ice cream into the glass and top up with club soda. I can thoroughly recommend this cocktail as a really delicious Halloween drink.
Now you don’t have to serve mocktails you could look at other drinks such as Tomato juice…..it does look like blood after all! You could even just serve orange soda with black ice cubes and call it your Halloween special. Simply add black food coloring to the water when you make your ice cubes.
Find some fun Halloween decorated glassware and use your imagination and you can turn any drink into a Halloween special. Add (toy) bugs to ice cubes is a classic Halloween drink prop that will never go out of fashion.
