This is the list of top three fastest computers in the world according to the recent biannual report (2010) of top 500 supercomputers.

Rank one#:  Cray XT "Jaguar" –Unites states

The world’s fastest computer is CRAY XT Jaguar from CRAY Inc, a Seattle based company. It has 45,000 quad-core Opteron processors, 362 TB of memory and has a 10PB storage array. It can perform more than one and a half quadrillion operations per second. This computer is built in Oak Ridge National Laboratory

It has a speed of 1.759 peta FLOPS

(You need to really know what peta FLOP means before you continue; FLOPS is expanded as ‘FLoating point Operations Per Second’. A calculator needs 10 FLOPS to work. A peta FLOP is  1015 FLOPS. That’s 10 to the power of 15, if you didn’t see it clearly)

Rank two#:  Dawning cluster –China

This computer is built in National Supercomputing Centre, Shenzhen. It is the second fastest computer in the world and the fastest computer in China. It is equipped with X5650 processors and Nvidia's C2050 GPUs. The speed of this computer is 1.271 peta FLOPS

Rank three#:  IBM Roadrunner –United States

This computer is built by Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, USA. It has the speed of 1.042 peta FLOPS. It is also the fourth-most energy-efficient supercomputer in the world on the Supermicro Green500 list. It has a hybrid design of two unique model processors: AMD Opteron 2210 and IBM PowerXCell 8i.
