How To Avoid Dengue Fever

Dengue is a disease carried by the Aedes mosquito. It is active during the daytime and prefers to feed at dusk and dawn. Dengue fever is a flu-like illness spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a severe, often fatal, complication of dengue fever.

It's rainy season once again. In tropical countries like the Philippines it also the time where cases of dengue outbreak increases.

Dengue fever is a flu-like illness spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a severe, often fatal, complication of dengue fever. Unlike the mosquitoes that cause malaria, dengue mosquitoes bite during the day.

 mostly  children ages from 12 below are always affected and bitten by the dengue carrying mosquito due too their exposure to the insect. Most cases happens in school and some are in their houses. no one is safe from this dengue carrying mosquito anyone who will be bitten by this insect will be transmitted with the deadly disease.

Prevention is better than cure. How to prevent dengue from spreading. It all starts by cleaning your area. Throw all the garbage and unnecessary clutter in your area. Specially empty bottles, pales or tires that can accumulate water and be the breeding ground of the dengue carrying aedes mosquito.

Always apply insect or mosquito repellant and re-apply it every 4-6 hours. If necessary wear pants or if possible wear long knee high socks.

Make sure that you and your kids eat healthy foods and drink food supplement rich in vitamin c also make it a habit to get a daily dosage of vitamin c to increase your immune system.
