How to Use Vinegar in the Laundry Room

Have you ever wondered what vinegar can be used for in your laundry room?? Can it be used in your washer? Can it be used on your clothes? Can it be a disinfectant? Read below to get all your answers!

  1. Pick up any brand of White Distilled Vinegar. If you plan on doing many of my vinegar articles, pick up more than one bottle of Vinegar. You can never have enough!
  2. Use a half a cup of Vinegar in your rinse cycle. This will prevent all that lint from sticking to your clothes.
  3. Ever get colors that run together in your wash? Immerse your bright colors in vinegar for 10 minutes then wash them like normal.
  4. Once a month pour a cup of vinegar in your empty washer. This will unclog any build up of soap and scum in your machine pipes and hoses. Just set the washer on a normal wash cycle!
  5. Ever get a grease spot on a nice suede jacket? Just dip a tooth brush in vinegar and gently brush on the grease spot. You can also do this o n stubborn stains like jams, tea, ketchup, etc.
  6. Ever come back from a public place where there was smoking? Can't get all that smoke smell out of your clothes? Well hang up your articles in you bathroom and pour in a cup of vinegar to a hot bath. The steam will release the smoke smell.
  7. Tired of seeing those nasty perspiration stains on your clothes? Well take one part vinegar to 4 parts water and apply it to your clothing.
