How To Clean Scratches and Scuff Marks From CD's and DVD's

Instead of tossing your DVD's or CD's when they are scratched try one of these tricks to help repair your DVD or CD.


ChapStick Lip Balm - Rub some ChapStick or other lip balm on the scratched area and buff it clean using a soft clean cloth or paper towel.

Colgate Regular Flavor Toothpaste - Rub a small amount of toothpaste on the scratched surface and hen buff clean using a clean rag.

Pledge Furniture Cleaner - Spray Pledge on your CD or DVD and then buff clean using a soft clean cloth or paper towel.


Peanut Butter - Place a small amount of creamy peanut butter on the scratched surface and buff it clean using a clean soft rag or paper towel.

Coffee Filter - Starting in the center and working outwards, gently wipe your CD or DVD.

Wax - Place wax on the surface and buff clean.

Hand Sanitizer - place hand sanitizer on your CD Or DVD and buff it clean using a soft rag or paper towel.
