Renewable energy is the talk of the times, but can you afford it? If you are a resident of Arizona, you might be interested the Arizona Energy Office and other Arizona state and Federal tax incentives. This department, created under the Arizona Department of Commerce encourages energy efficiency and renewable-energy usage and provides energy information for Arizona’s residents. Renewable energy is more affordable than you think. Your savings will grow over the years as energy costs continue to rise. I have been researching information to start a new business and found this information very interesting.

The Arizona Renewable Energy Program provides technical assistance and information ranging from off-grid photovoltaic systems to commercial-scaled renewable energy technologies. The Energy Office website is located at:

http://www.azcommerce.com/Energy/Renewable/

In addition there is an APS Solar & Renewable Incentive Program for customers to help take advantage of the many renewable energy resources available in Arizona.

Renewable resources like the sun, wind, geo-thermal, biomass and bio-gas are playing an ever-increasing role in creating the energy we need to power our homes, businesses and growing economy. And with APS rebates and available federal and state tax credits, renewable energy is more affordable than ever.

Incentives are available on a first come, first served basis* for systems installed in the APS service area**. Amounts vary based on the type of technology used and the scope of your project.

For descriptions of available incentives see the Arizona Residential incentive charts at:

or Non-Residential incentive charts at:

Additional Arizona Homeowner Incentives for Renewable Energy can be located at:
