David Goldman: Sean Goldman . David Goldman is someone who has been fighting desperately about the custody battle of his little son who was taking to

David Goldman is someone who has been fighting desperately about the custody battle of his little son who was taking to Brazil and never returned by his ex-wife. The mother took their son together Sean Goldman to Brazil four years ago and she never return back to the US. David Goldman told Today’s Meredith Vieira that “ I haven’t seen him in four years, and I’ve been desperately fighting and fighting to be with him.” Bruna who is David’s wife called one day from Brazil, while on her vacation that she’ll never come back to the US and that David would have to assign sole custody of Sean to her if he ever wanted to see Sean again. Bruna married a prominent lawyer in Brazil and was pregnant with his child but then she died during the pregnancy last month. Now is the chance for David to get Sean back but there’s some more hurdle to it. David tried to get a court hearing in New Jersey where Sean was born but it took about a year for the court in Brazil to answer and they ruled that Sean should stay with his mother since it’s been a long time that has passed by.

David Goldman went to Brazil to get a hearing so that he could bring Sean home but the husband of Bruna went to court and deleted David’s name from Sean’s birth record and replaced it with his own. This is a much disappointment for David for all of his hard work and attempts. The Brazilian court system allowed such things to go through. The U.S. Embassy in Brazil have written letters to Brazilian court in asking for them to recognized David as the father of Sean and to grant him rights to his son. Goldman has a web site called bringseanhome.org to dedicate to his quest for bringing his son home. David is now facing much difficulty with trying to get custody of Sean when the Brazilian court is not serving his wish well.

Goldman said that “it’s just wrong on every level of the law in both countries, in international law.. He should have been home within six weeks, and yet there was this sympathy, the mother and the child.” Since, Sean was born in New Jersey, the jurisdiction should be here in the US and Sean should have been home but the Brazilian court is not doing justice according to David Goldman. Goldman said, “ how can it be possible, a non-blood person could take my child?, I don’t know. I don’t know.”
