Can't Stop Thinking About Coffee

May 13th, 2010 by HappyGoLucky

I'm trying to cut back on how much coffee I drink and guess what I can't stop thinking about... that's right. I'm thinking about my next cup!

Coffee is such an interesting topic but yes, there are a few things that I don't like about coffee!

1.Things I Don't Like About the French Press It's hard to clean. You have to be patient. It takes about 4-5 minutes to "steep". If you pour it sooner, it tastes too weak. It gets cold quickly. Enough said, granted, I must be the slowest coffee drinker in the world. 2. Why Doesn't Someone Do This... Make a cup with a space to slide in a couple of cookies! 3. Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat. - Alex Levine 4. An average sized cup (150 ml) of ground roasted coffee contains around 85 mg of caffeine. The count goes down from their depending on the kind of coffee you drink. A tea bag has about half that amount and a mug of hot chocolate comes in at a lowly 4 mg caffeine. Thats a big difference! 5. Getting bored with your daily mug of coffee? Maybe you need a way to fancy it up. I just found a recipe that will enable you to make your own syrup. Take a look.  6. Coffee with nothing to go with it?? Just found this coffee cake recipe that looks incredibly quick and easy to put together. And it contains cinnamon. Cake with cinnamon... doesn't get better than that. Have you been reading lately about just how good cinnamon is for you?? It almost makes eating cake... healthy!! 7. Do you often reach for the same mug time after time, just because you think that your coffee tastes better out of that particular mug? I have just been reading an article that says that what you drink your coffee out of, just might affect the taste!

Okay, I'm done. Off to make a pot but I will only drink one cup... promise. ;)

I do like my coffee but I have cut down so much that I don’t even make a pot every day. I do drink tea and cocoa however. I’m not dropping all the good stuff.
