Wonderful Works of Prayers

Apr 29th, 2010 by anarose

Prayer is a necessity to each one of us. It is the foundation of the human as a whole.

How do you define prayer? When and how many times do you pray each day?  Do you make it a part of your daily life?

Prayer is the way in which we communicate to God. It is a way in which we lift our spirit to Him. It is the time we talk and listen sincerely to Him. It includes letting God do His will for us. He loves and care for us.  As what Andrew Murray said "Prayer is not monologue but dialogue; God's voice is it's most essential part. Listening to God's voice is the secret of the assurance that He will listen to mine."

It is very important for us to pray especially on our morning. A person who do right away his chores once he wakes up and do not give time to give thanks and praise to God is like a person who goes into the battle without weapons. As humans, there are times that we forget our duty to do works which are Holy but there are also times that we look for God. An activity which we always do becomes a habit. Then, isn't it good habit to open on our communication with God? Before we communicate to someone else or do what must we do at school or at home,  it is a good thing to talk with God first.  We never know what will happen on a certain day or for tomorrow. Must we wait for a problem to occur first before we talk with God?

All of us for sure are busy with so many things. I often notice that with some people who always do a lot of sermons even it is very early in the morning.People who thinks of money and how to get out of poverty they are experiencing with. People who have disabilities and sickness and just think they are a burden in this world. Isn't it, prayer is a the answer to those difficulties we are having?

I believe that prayers work.  I have witnessed God's great works on me since my birth and up to now that I am an adult. He can do miracles if we just believe in Him. If we speak with God first, we can have an assurance that our day will be bright ahead and no matter the problems that come along, we know that we can overcome it because we ask God's guidance.
