Mohawk Hairstyle

This Mohawk hairstyle is believed to have been worn by men for 2,300 years already. It is a hairstyle which consists of
shaving both sides of the head, leaving a strip of noticeably longer hair.

The classic fanned Mohawk
Mohawks became common in youth punk subcultures in the early 1980s and were then adopted by various other groups,
becoming more diverse in style. Today, Mohawks are still associated with the Punk subculture, but have also become a
part of mainstream fashion.
Tonsure Hairstyle

This weird hairstyle is called Tonsure. Tonsure is the practice of some Christian churches, mystics, Buddhist novices
and monks, and some Hindu temples of cutting the hair from the scalp of clerics, devotees or holy people as a symbol
of their renunciation of worldly fashion and esteem.

Chonmage (topknot)

The chonmage is a form of Japanese traditional haircut worn by men. It is most commonly associated with the Edo Period
and samurai, and in recent times with sumo wrestlers. It was originally a method of using hair to hold a samurai helmet
steady atop the head in battle, and became a status symbol among Japanese society.

In modern times, the only remaining wearers of the chonmage are sumo wrestlers. This style of chonmage is slightly different,
in that the pate is no longer shaved, although the hair may be thinned in this region to allow the topknot to sit more neatly.

When I was still a kid, I remember Michael Jackson wearing this type of hairstyle. This hairstyle is called afro. An afro is a
hairstyle in which the hair extends out from the head like a halo, cloud or ball. An afro requires very curly hair. For many
people of African descent, an afro is the way the hair grows naturally.
Masai Warrior Hairstyle

Traditional Masai warriors tie the front hair into sections of tiny braids while the back hair was allowed to grow long.
Women and non-warriors, however, shave their heads. Many tribes (such as those in Namibia) dye the hair with red
earth and grease; some stiffen it with animal dung.
Skullet Hairstyle

This hairstyle looks familiar to me. I used to see them on TV when I was young. This hairstyle is called the skullet, a variation
of the mullet. A skullet is defined by a shaved or otherwise bald head with long hair on the sides and in the back. Though the
style has existed for quite some time, it was first defined as such on the show SuperStar USA, a flop spoof on American Idol
that ran for only a single season on the WB. Prominent wearer of skillets is US actor- wrestler Hulk Hogan.
Dreadlocks

This unusual hairstyle is a long hairstyle for either men or women. The hair is dreadlocked into individual sections using
one of several methods (either by braiding, hand rolling, or allowing hair to naturally lock on its own. The look of dreadlocks
can vary in size, tidiness, and length.
Khokhol Hairstyle

Cyber Hairstyle
Cyber is the name given to a contemporary subculture having roots in multiple music and fashion scenes including the

This hairstyle is really unusual it's called the devilock is a hairstyle worn beginning around 1979. The sides and back of the
hair are kept short, while the front is kept long and combed forward. There are several variations; the most common version
is worn with the front hair pinched into a spiked ponytail, save that the hair is usually styled in place with gel rather than with
hair ties.
