Tanks, APCs or Armored Personnel Carriers and Helicopter gunships are the most common military vessels known publicly.
Unknown to many, there are also other unique vehicles used by military. Here are some of them.
1. Titan Armored Bridge Layer

The Titan Armored Bridge Layer is one of the newest vehicles used by Royal Engineers. It entered service in 2006 replacing the Chieftain Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge. This running machine has the capability of carrying a single 26 meter long bridge or two 12 m long bridges. The versatile Titan can also be fitted with a bulldozer blade.
2. Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicle

The Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle is an armored fighting vehicle designed to survive IED attacks and ambushes. This vessel was especially designed because IEDs were the major cause of US deaths in Iraq. This vehicle is operated by the US Marine Corps.
3. Bridgelayer Biber

This unique military vehicle with armored vehicle-launched bridge is called Bridgelayer ‘Biber’. It is manufactured and operated by Germany. The word ‘biber’ is German for Beaver. This machine is based on the Leopard I tank chassis and is used by most Leopard 1 users.

The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system used by the US Army. This weapon that uses an advanced aerial interceptor missile and high performance radar systems is also purchased by Japan, Israel, Taiwan, Egypt and many other countries.
6. LARC-V (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo)

LARC-V is an amphibious cargo vehicle which was developed and used by the US. This vessel which is still used in many different auxiliary roles is capable of transporting 5 tons. Â On land, it operates on four wheel drive and has a towing capacity of about 29,000 lbs and 7,600 in the water.
7. Buffalo Mine Protected Vehicle

The Buffalo Mine Protected Vehicle from the US is a six-wheeled armored vehicle equipped modern gadgets for additional protection against anti-tank rounds. This vessel is also fitted with a large articulated arm, used for ordinance disposal. The cost of a unit of Buffalo is worth $10 million.
8. Light Strike Vehicle (LSV)

This fighting machine called Light Strike Vehicle is developed and produced by Singapore Technologies Engineering. It is an unarmored light fast attack designed for fast hit-and-run raids, Special Forces support, scouting missions and low-intensity guerrilla warfare.
9. M901 ITV (Improved TOW Vehicle)

The M901 ITV (Improved TOW Vehicle) is not a fighting machine, it’s an armored vehicle operated by US Army. Although it is equipped with a machine gun, smoke grenade launcher and other weapons, it is primarily designed to lift a dual M220 TOW launcher.
10. Dragon Runner

This cool-looking vessel called the Dragon Runner is a military robot designed and built for urban combat. This 4 kg toy-like machine with four wheels is very rugged, and can be thrown over fences, up or down stairwells, from a moving vehicle at 70 km/h. It can also be dropped from a third-story window. It doesn't matter how it lands because neither side is the right side up.
