Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine Review
Saeco Aroma Expresso Machine for people who want a great cup of coffee when money is no object.
The Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine features easy to use controls, a powerful pump system with 15 bars of pressure, a pod adaptable pressurized portafilter, a stainless steel passive heat cup warmer, an 80-ounce removable water tank, large stainless steel 950-watt quick recovery boiler, and a steam wand that comes with a Pannarello frothing tip. The Aroma is a medium price espresso machine that was designed to make espressos, lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos.
I was lucky enough to be able to test out my mother-in-laws Saeco this past Christmas. I found that it was very easy to use. To make a cup of espresso fill the tank with water, turn on the main switch, turn the pump on, and open the steam knob to prime the pump. You then load the portafilter with a scoop of espresso grind coffee making sure to turn the basket until it has formed a tight seal. A light will come on when the water has been heated to the proper temperature. After placing cups under the spouts, turn it on and you will have espresso in moments. If straight espresso is a bit too strong, you can steam milk for lattes and cappuccinos. To steam milk just turn on the steamer, open the steamer knob, and place into a small pitcher of milk. There is a dial to regulate how much steam you want to come out of the metal wand. The frothing tip will allow you to froth all types of milk with ease, even skim milk.
I found that the Saeco Aroma Espresso machine was easy to use and that it made a great cup of espresso. I was all set to get one of mine own until I found out how much they cost. At $300 to $350 they are a bit out of budget. However, I would highly recommend this machine if money is not an issue.
