Losing your mother is one of most heart wrenching times. It is even more so when they are taken from us too soon. I lost my mother 20 years ago, and I still miss her so much. The feelings of my heart poured out one day onto the paper in front of me..................

Heart Touch

By Cindy Lewis-Love

Time and days ours forever;

Rush? No need, there’s tomorrow.

Run out of time? No! Never!

But life reminds with sorrow.

Did she know that time was short?

Insight, wisdom, love, impart

Pour into me ev’ry sort

And thus entwine heart to heart.

Every lesson, every song

Within, without, all around.

Like a mist, it’s here, it’s gone,

Returns to lift, spirit, sound.

Either way I’m richly blessed,

Gentle spirit lives within.

Her presence, peace, now my quest,

To know one day, ours again.

‘Til then, settle, quiet, still,

Ask of my heart, Mother dear.

No word, yet hear what I will.

Descend, surround, answer clear.

And know one day, hand in hand,

A laugh, a hug, without tear.

Two hearts then forever stand

To touch, so close, always near.
