The Lunar New Year festival will be going on for the entire month of February at Flushing Town Hall in New York. This is probably one of the longest celebration around the US. Other states only have a three days celebration. On February 9, 2009 at 2pm there will be a long and spectacular free performances by dancers from Korea, China, Taiwan, Malysia, Thailand, and Indonesida. The coming weekend afterward on February 16 at 2pm you will have a calm, traditional tea ceremony and it's free.

On February 23, 2009 there will be musical performances by The Chai Found Music Ensemble from Taiwan. They will perform twice on this date. They will be playing sizhu music blended with a modern edge. The location will be at Flushing Town Hall, 137-35 Northern Blvd, at Linden.
