This will teach you how to buy confiscated items at the aiport.

Ever wonder what happens to all the stuff confiscated at airports? Turns out they sell it – for cheap! In some states, scissors and corkscrews are available for 25 cents each and swiss army knives cost $10 -- per pound! Here's a list of .gov's that offer "Leftover Loot" in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington. The TSA took 13 million items from travelers in 2006 alone. No word on how much stuff’s been acquired this year, but surely quality goods abound.

Here's a list of additional states offering surplus property

Please access this website and view the different auctions by state or by what is available

Enjoy the shopping! As with any other type of auction money is necessary to do the bidding. Feel free to check out an auction and get some more information from the auctioneer. Also stuff that is not purchased can often be negotiated for after the auction is closed "behind the scenes." Best of luck and happy bidding.
