Now that we are living in the most technologically advanced era in the computer world, ensuring the highest possible security for your PC is a point of primary concern for many. Computers are now more affordable than they ever have been, but the maintenance bills are not. This is simply because the costs have dramatically come down in computer manufacturing, and automated mass production is so much cheaper and simpler than it ever has been. The bottom line is that with more people owning computers now than ever before, more problems exist that need to be addressed and repaired. This does not result in the cost of maintenance going down, but instead, going up because demand is so high.
My name is Rick Burns. I have been involved in computer repair, software development and consulting, and general computing for 25 years. I have been around since the days of the Radio Shack TRS-80, TI-99, Commodore 64, and all of the others which eventually blossomed to the PC which we know today. While it has been exciting to see the rapid developments and enhancements in technology in just the past few years, it has also frustrated me to see the amount of hackers, crooked corporations, and rank amateurs exploiting the security of others' computers by developing spyware, viruses, and trojans . As a result of this, I changed my focus a couple of years ago to PC security software consulting and development, and I chose to only focus on this genre so as to help new computer users avoid a huge headache in dealing with these rogue programs which can kill a computer's performance and functionality in a short period of time.
Why haven't we had these problems in the past? Well, the answer is twofold.
-
Computers have become more affordable and more of a necessity now more than ever, and it is of consequence that because more people own them, more problems exist.
-
DSL, Cable and Broadband Connections are now standards in the transmission service providers' access to the internet, and as such, they are easily breached by most threatening programs.
The modem connection, albeit much slower, was a more secure connection. You had to actually want or click on a virus to get it. With the advent of DSL, Cable, and Broadband connections, we gave up security in favor of speed and access to our computers security is extremely simple now.
I have seen literal nightmares on some of my clients' computers in which the only option was to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system in lieu of paying anywhere between $250-$1000 in professional spyware/adware removal by an authorized technician. Because of this, all of their information, important files and records, family photos/videos etc. were all deleted – and most did not know to back this information up. By the time the computer got to me, it was too late. The saddest thing is that the cause of these stressful problems was simply spyware and adware – which can be added easily to your computer without your knowledge and drain your system's resources significantly. If the problem persists, a complete hard drive crash can occur.
Another bothersome thing was the fact that their systems were supposedly protected by popular anti-virus programs which did nothing to stop or intercept spyware/adware in its tracks.
Spyware or Adware is accumulated on your computer in various ways, and virtually all of the time it happens without your knowledge.
-
Spyware can intercept any personal information you enter on the internet
-
Sites can be added to your desktop with icons without your authorization
-
Sites can be added to your bookmarks or favorties folder without your authorization
-
Your browsing activity can be regularly tracked and monitored
-
Extra toolbars and searchbars can appear and install themselves on your browser without your knowledge
-
Your browser can be hijacked so you cannot use it
-
Treacherous spyware and adware can invade your PC and load up your memory capacity and hard drive capacity to significantly slow your computer performance down.
Unfortunately, the more popular, commercial anti-virus programs available on the market and pre-installed on most computers is not efficient enough to handle the strong threats which are highly possible today. These programs are made for personal use, not industrial use. It is not their focus to try to predict what is going to attack your computer and infect it, because these things change daily and they do not update as often as they should or say they do. Many of them do work, some better than others, but fail miserably in other areas where your computer system is most volatile.
I know this because I took part in a market test in which we tested the most popular commercial software on the market over a 2 year period. Not one of them fully protected our systems from the most popular spyware/adware threats out there. Two of the most popular software manufacturers, which I won't mention, failed miserably and were basically defenseless to all of the newest, popular threats, even when updated with the latest virus/spyware profiles. This is truly disturbing, and the average computer user will never discover this until they actually become infected.
The purpose of this test was to develop a number of anti-virus/spyware security programs which gave the average computer user the same protection and powerful security that is given to authorized technicians. Depending on the degree of infection(s), a spyware removal tech can sometimes cost more than your computer's value. The object was to develop a program which gives the average user the same power, all the while saving the user costly maintenance in the future.
NoAdware is the end product of our studies. While I was not directly involved in the programming, I was an authorized beta tester for the product. It truly is the most powerful, most effective, and most trustworthy antivirus/spyware program I have ever tried. The response to imminent threats was virtually immediate, and access by the threat was blocked completely to my computer systems. I can rest assure that my systems are secure and so can the average computer user.
NoAdware puts the same power of licensed computer technicians in the hands of the average Joe. As a computer owner, you deserve to have the top protection you deserve for your investment, and not sit back and allow unauthorized snoopers to infect your computer and collapse. The solution to the problem is in your hands, it is just up to you to act to secure your PC for good. You can try it for free and get a free scan. It's truly an absolute life saver and a money saver as well.
