Mylot is a social network, that paid you to forum or discussion.

Being a member or a constant user of a web site gives experience that on how it really is. MyLot is one website I would still be with until now had it not been for members who make responses but do not read or understand the posted item. The website is a good paying forum that has almost a limitless range of topics. It would have been alright if there were just one or two. But there was more than that. And to think that they are rated members, the least they could have done was to apologize for a wrong response or an insulting one at that. Well, that happened after lying off the site for around five months, starting August 2007. Got off for five months, why?

Going back when I started in February of 2007, the site was enjoyable and I felt having a fair compensation for my efforts. If I remember right, there were only a little over 50,000 members then. It was very clear then that if you put quality in your posts, you get a lot much higher pay per entry. The admin was able discipline the ranks. Accounts of spammers and pesky members were closed once discovered or reported. By April, I was enjoying and did not mind how much I was making because it was more like a social site by then. In the middle of May, some issues started to crop up. Some unscrupulous members were reporting to admin, members they did not like for any apparent reason. Then, pay for quality posts were no longer consistent. To make things worse, some members were posting their better earnings with low quality posts! So, other members making quality posts and receiving less for their efforts complained. Admin did not do anything about it. A good number of regular members including myself either simply quit or did not make any more posts. That's the reason why I did not bother with MyLot for five months.

What was good and I appreciated with MyLot were online friends there. Until now, I have not found as many good online friends even in social sites. It was there where I learned a lot about so many things online. Most of the sites they referred were good and reliable. One thing I could not forget was reconciling two online friends who were going at each other. Many of our common friends appreciated the act. Mylot is close to being like social site because one would also have a profile page to visit, update and post on. The main objective though of members and the web site is posting for income. Actually there are many members who neglect to attend to their profile because they use the posting forum also for communicating with members.

MyLot is a convenient site easy to find topics that could be of interest or learn from. There are even some days that I don't post any entry because I am engrossed reading friends posts and the responses. To make good at MyLot, one will need to devote at least 4 to 6 hours a day with a minimum of 20 posts and responses combined. Posts are rated by members who read the articles with a plus or minus click below the post. Best responses are also picked by the member that posted the article being responded to. They also give star ranking to members seen beside their names with any number from 1 to 10. Lately, activity ranking per topic is also indicated for a member to know how much he gets involved in those topics or category. If I remember right and I don't know if it still holds true, a member's activity in MyLot has points to show and a member will only be allowed to copy and paste after passing the 500 points mark.

As of now, I don't intend to go back to MyLot because I can no longer put in at least 4 hours there everyday.
