Superbowl comes every year but still catches people off guard. Time is short, but you can still throw together a great celebration time by hosting an informal Superbowl bash. Create some memories this year, who knows what half-time fiasco will occur?

  1. BIG SCREEN TV : First either own or rent to own a big screen TV. What is the SuperBowl without a big screen? You can borrow from friends but that is risky. Don't forget you need Surround Sound. Bose is SUPER! Your friends will enjoy it and Half-time will be more enjoyable. You might consider Plasma, LCD or even a Projector TV.
  2. PARTY : Invite the neighbors and friends. Tell them to bring their favorite grill meat  and a 6 pack. Wear hats and T-shirts . Face-paint allowed! Have the ice chest handy!
  3. FOOD : Buy Snack foods. Set up the BBQ and man the grill. Make sure to use a couple of beers and pour over meat. Have a platter of fruit from Costco just to appease the health nuts. Make the secret SALSA recipe in the resource box below!
  4. SPECTACULAR: Make a HUGE batch of Emeril's Jambalaya and serve in hallowed out sourdough bread bowls. I have served a similar version every year for the past 8-10 years. BIG HIT. I call it my Superbowl Special. Serve during 1/2 time.
  5. TIMING : Have all dishes set up buffet style. Serve main course food during the end of first quarter. Serve up a few Superbowl beers. After half time you can set out dessert style foods.
  6. HALF TIME : Record and replay the half time. Laugh hysterically at all new commercials. Yell at your team for not making the right plays.
  7. GAMBLING : Betting money might not be smart.. there are some places it is legal. So you know what to do next. In this step, at end of 4th quarter, you have to cry like a baby because you lost a legal bet or you lost yo' pride. If your team wins, jump up and down yelling - YEA. thats the way! ! !
  8. CLEANUP : Pay the kids in neighborhood to clean up. If you are smart you used disposable everything, and own a carpet cleaner. Alternative: Call the maid service to clean up SUPERBOWL MESS and take the family out to a movie. Return the TV equipment to rental outlet or friend. Then start planning next year's party!
