Handwriting analysis -- the study of loop size, angle, slant, pressure, finals, t-bars, i-dots, and more -- is a field of study used by examiners of questioned documents, detectives, teachers, human resource directors and others, to help determine psychological elements to a person's personality, all from the way they pen their hand written documents.

INTRODUCTION
Handwriting -- the study of the corrulation between personalitly and handwriting -- is an old science indeed, yet interest has been starting to clamer for this fascinating diagnostic technology.  The utility of this technology is virtually endless, since modern humans are fascinated by truth of statements, method of thinking, preference of psychological traits, and the other load of information that can be obtained simply by looking at one's handwritten text and signature.

WHEN TO USE IT
Graphology (aka handwriting analysis) is useful in many applications, countless to be exact, but ethically, its use should be restricted.  When a person familiar with this technology works in a different field, where they are exposed to hand written text, an ethical question arises, of whether it should be allowed, since they most certainly can acquire many facts regarding the writers personality, even though they probably have never met the writer of teh hand writing sample.

To compilcate things further, the required volume of handwriting necessary for an analysis is quite small, and the volume of handwriting generated by a typical worker in an office, school or similar agency or organization is often much more than is necessary for the handwriting analyst to draw some very strikingly, accurate conclusions on the writer's psychological makeup and demeanor.

WHAT ARE SOME ACTUAL TRAITS IN HANDWRITING, AND WHAT DO THEY MEAN?
Here is a presentation of traits in handwriting, and their resulting meaning or significance.  Remember, though, that this essay is very brief, and an accurate analysis often spends hundreds of hours studying and practicing their craft before being certified as a teacher, examiner of questioned documents, or employment with the F.B.I.

Pressure, when heavy, points to someone who gets angry slowly, but stays angry long once that mood sets in.  Light pressure is of a more spiritual person, one who gets angry fast and calms very fast too.  Pressure reveals vitality, the energy inside that is linked to stress and motivation.

Slant, when the writing at the top is more to the right, and at the bottom of the letters, is more to the left, is said to be forward writing slant.  Such forward slant shows emotional depth of feeling, impulsiviness, and fast pace to react to situations.  Such persons are illsuited for work as emergency personnal, but may be great salespersons, politicians and musicians.  Backward slant, by contrast, shows emotions that are supressed.  Such supression makes them good at doing emergency personnel work, and write this way due to an emotional hurt that has not yet healed.  Verticle slant, going equal left and right on the top and bottom of each letter, shows a person ruled by logic, able to work well and communicate with nearly anyone.  Left and right slant writers almost never work well together, they are sure to fume and anger each other very quickly, so they should be kept apart.  Vertical slent writers can work great with about anyone, no matter their slant.

Letters flowing and connected within words shows a person with great follow through.  They are slow to invent or dream, but shine at executing a plan that someone else explained to them.  Conversely, handwriting made of all broken letters shows one of three things: Either the writer is trying to conseal hidden information, or they want to be clearly understood and communicate, or they are full of intuition and dream and invent most of the time.  If the writing is easy to read, then they are wanting to be understood; if it is difficult to read, they are hidding information; if the letters are sloppy but clear, most likely they are dreamy and inventive.

The height of the 'h' leftward stem shows imaginative capacity, with the higher stem pointing out a person with a strong imagination.  The person is a collector of coins, stamps, clothes, shoes, or something else if there is a small tiny hook on the top of the leftward stem.  The rightward stem, going from left stem down to the right and up then down, shows thinking preferences.

Thinking preferences with the rightward stroke being round point to a person who learns best with a story imagined in their mind.  However, if it is sharp, like a needle, they are a analitical thinker, one who learns by connecting thoughts up with other thoughts.  If the stroke is both round and angular, they do both.  The height of the stroke is indicative of the intensity of the thoughts the writer had at the time they wrote.  This trait will most likely vary widely based on the writer's mood, alertness, stress level and focus.
