Winter can be a nightmare for your skin. Dry, chapped, sensitive skin is difficult to get rid of in the winter. Here are some suggestions for turning winter dry skin into soft supple skin.

Dry winter weather can wreck your skin faster than you can say Frosty the Snowman. Here are some simple tips to help bring some relief to winter dry skin.

Add a little vitamin e oil to your regular moisturizer. This will increase the moisturizing properties of your moisturizer, but you won't have to go looking for a new favorite. Vitamin e oil can be used directly on the lips or hands also to provide relief.

Drink lots of water. Staying well hydrated during the winter months is a very important tool in fighting dry skin. Water moisturizes the skin all over your body from the inside out. It's the simplest remedy there is, and the most effective.

Don't take super-hot baths. Hot water dries out the skin. I know it's tempting to take those hot baths when you've got a winter chill, but resist the urge or you'll be sorry. Also be sure to keep your baths and showers short.

Stay away from drying soaps. Instead use fatty, moisturizing body washes and soaps. Try Dove for sensitive skin. It's simple but great for dry skin.

Stay out of windy, dry air as much as possible. When you are outside, don't forget sunscreen. Winter sun can still damage your skin.
