5 - Tarot Card Interpretations from the Major Arcana: IV The Emperor

During this series of articles I shall be using my personal deck to interpret the Tarot.  The meanings relate to most decks and so you can apply them to your own personal readings.  The Tarot deck I am using is called The Classic Tarot by Della Rocca

The Tarot deck has two sections; The Major Arcana of 22 Cards plus a further four suits of 14 cards altogether comprising of 78 cards in total.  The Emperor is the Fourth card taken from the Major Arcana.

The Emperor is the father figure in the Tarot deck.  Not only does he look out for you but sometimes he can become a little too demanding.  When work and other times in life become difficult we sometimes wish to throw caution to the wind and rebel.  This card reminds you of what you have to protect and what you have to lose.  You have to remember what is important in your life and keep going on the positive track you are so on at this time.

But this card is not all protecting and advising, he is also someone that appears in a reading to let you know you are not alone.  When you sometimes do not feel appreciated when going out of your way to impress someone or perform a kind gesture, remember that they know all too well of your hard work and are very humbled by your attention. 

This card also tells you that at this time you have built up a strong amount of respect from others and now have the confidence to dive in and try something you never thought possible before.  Your ambition is strong now and with the four elements representing this card travel, people and the world are important to you now.

Aries is the corresponding sign and shows as a natural born leader you have what it takes to pursue the matter at hand and your warlike nature is going to prevail.  Trust your gut instinct and protect others around you.  You can make a difference.
