The Internet is now full of websites with free music. You can find such websites with the help search engines like Google and Bing. All you have to do is to use 'free music' as your search term. However, you have to be sure that the websites are truly authorized to provide the music pieces or recordings free to everyone. Here are some websites that I discovered that actually provide free music to the people.

The popular mp3.com has a free music directory where you can download music for free. On the page, you can download the latest free music, the most popular free music, and or just any free music available on mp3.com. You can search free music alphabetically or by genre.

Napster also offers free music on a special page. The page has a search box where you can enter a search term or string to look for free music, a list of new releases, a collection of playlists, a collection of music picked up by Napster's staff, and a list of music on the top ten list. Each piece of music listed has a two buttons next to it. The each albums, music piece or song listed under new releases also have a button marked with the word "Share". Clicking on the button with a right-pointing arrow will open a new window with anembedded audio/video player that can be used to play the chosen music. Clicking on the button marked "MP3" however only opens the same page in a new window.  Clicking on the button marked with the words "Share" will bring the user to a page where he or she can share some music. Webmasters can also put a code on their website to invite their visitors to get music from Napster. Unfortunately, for International users, only users in the United States can play full-length songs or music pieces.

Jango is an online radio station that plays free music. The website has a search box where you can enter the name of a music artist performer to create a new online radio station page for the name you entered. The page will have a list of songs by the artist whose named you have entered. Clicking the play button next to song listed will play the song. You can also download a ringtone with the song by clicking on the ringtone link next to it. If you wish to sing along but are not sure of the lyrics, you can click on the lyrics button to get the lyrics.The radio station page also has a biography of the artist or performer. Members of Jango can save their own created music stations and let others listen to it.
