How to Help in Haiti: Christian Relief Organizations Send Help & Hope to Haiti

After the terrible earthquake shook Haiti on Tuesday, Christian relief organizations around the world have been organizing their efforts and collecting funds and other donations to help the earthquake victims. This article will list some of those agencies.

After the terrible earthquake shook Haiti on Tuesday, Christian relief organizations around the world have been organizing their efforts and collecting funds and other donations to help the earthquake victims. While some agencies have been assessing the situation to best determine where help has needed, other ministries have worked with existing organizations to pour relief into the ravaged area.

Assessment of Haiti's Needs

Many Christian organizations like the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team and Convoy of Hope have sent in assessment teams to Haiti to discern how best to meet the needs of the victims. Faith and Action has created an emergency relief fund that will work through several Christian humanitarian relief agencies working in Haiti and will also work with the embassy in Washington to determine the greatest areas of need.

Sending Food, Water & Other Supplies to Haiti

Christian Child relief organization Compassion Internationalis accepting cash donations to benefit Haiti. Operation Blessing has been collecting funds to send relief to Haiti.Water Missions International (WMI) is preparing 10 water purification systems for immediate deployment to earthquake-stricken Haiti. Joyce Meyer Ministries has partnered with the Haiti-based Christian humanitarian organization Love A Child, to help bring immediate short-term assistance, relief and aid to Haiti including food that was shipped to Haiti. Lutheran World Relief is currently accepting donations to provide life-saving assistance in response to the earthquake in Haiti.

Christian Artists Respond to Haiti

Christian artists and the gospel music industry have also been donating their talents to benefit concerts and recordings to help the earthquake victims in Haiti. The following articles will provide more information on the many efforts to provide relief to Haiti from the Christian music community.
