How to get the veggies and fruits into your daily requirements.

My dietary requirements seem to fall short on nutrition, do yours? I found a great solution to get MDR of fruits and vegetables.

Minimum daily requirements of fruits and vegetables seemed to be a difficult thing to take in everyday. I bought the items and then they would not get eaten daily as I know they should for proper nutrition. It seemed as though I would have many pieces of fruits and vegetables in my kitchen and not doing me much good. I practiced with flavorings and you can too, so the taste can be to your liking.

1.  Blending raw vegetables with some water or juice in my blender made a nice refreshing drink. I added some seasonings of pepper, oregano leaves, parsley and even poultry spices. Even when a certain vegetable was not a favorite of mine, the mixing seemed to peek my taste buds into acceptance. I wash all the vegetables well first before putting them in the blender. This is differnent than juicing because the pulp is actually consumed.  The entire vegetable is consumed giving plenty of fiber in the contents.

2.   Blending cooked vegetables with some water from the cooking or some broth mixed well with sage,  dried onion and garlic powder. I even boiled some potatoes to add flavor to the water and had the potatoes on the side on a plate.  When I steamed the vegetables, I again used the water from my steamer in my vegetable drink.

With just these two activities, I was able to achieve the minimum daily requirements for vegetables and also feel fuller. I popped in vegetables in the blender, which satisfied me for a longer period of time than if I ate something of lesser value. I did not make a new years resolution to loose weight, but I am certainly thinking I will.

1.  Fruits, when put in the blender with coconut milk or orange juice make it a treat. While I am getting the needed fruit intake for good health, I am enjoying them more. Sweeten with honey or try some vanilla flavoring to see what you like better.

On the go drinks such as these, make it easier to maintain the MDR of fruits and vegetables.
