Making time to write can encourage more writing.

Barriers to writing are our thoughts and things we do. If we are busy we are less inclined to write. Thinking also keeps us from writing by distracting us.

Bring a notepad with you everywhere. You never know when you may be inspired. Additionally, you can use a notebook to remind yourself of things you need to do and get. This clears your mind so you can think more creatively. Additionally, create a quiet place for writing with good lighting, without distractions, and with adequate seating.

Set aside a little time each day to write. If we have not written in a long time, we can restart our writing in small increments. Perhaps, our first efforts will begin with 5 minutes. We can increase the amount of time as we continue to write. If we think we don't know what to write, write about anything that comes to mind. Don't judge your writing, just write. Set aside a few minutes to do this. This effort may open up our thinking so that we can write creatively or with inspiration.

Look for themes in writing. Perhaps we see patterns of concepts emerging . We can group many of our concepts together. Unified themes may be good sources for additional content for the future writing efforts.

Creating a blog or writing for websites or a similar opportunity encourages one to write. Look for opportunities to write by taking classes, volunteering to write a news letter for organizations, helping others to write, or by writing articles for magazines, newspapers, blogs, or websites.

Write when you want and how often you want. It's all up to you. Sure, some people write because they feel they have to. Perhaps, someone is a teacher or technical writing so writing is part of a job. Try different styles of writing such as fiction, poetry, and factual writing.

Make sure you take breaks often so you can rest your eyes, your mind, and your body. If you become ill while writing, your writing will suffer too. Make sure you have well-rounded activities. Writing should not be the only things you do. Additionally, you can get all sorts of ideas by participating in life through different hobbies and meeting and becoming friends with different people.

Very good article. Most of us are just to busy to relax and enjoy the time it takes to write. We just need to plan our time better. I will recommend this article.
