From The Doorway

Poem/song-lyric reflecting World unrest and turmoil; and how sad we can't seem to get along. Somewhat of a E.A.Poe slant here.

From The Doorway

Sometimes when I think about the world with all its sorrows…

Famines, wars and hatred seem to darken all tomorrows…

And the attitudes of man reflect a sinister decay…

“NEVERMORE!” Quotes the Angel from the doorway…

NEVERMORE! NEVERMORE!

Sometimes when I ponder on the wonder of Creation…

Kindness, peace and love shout a clear interpretation…

That the attitudes of man cannot go on in this way…

“NEVERMORE!” Quotes the Angel from the doorway…

NEVERMORE! NEVERMORE!

Consider your ways!

Love your fellow man just as you love yourself.

Consider your ways!

Share with all around you what’s been on the shelf.

Give the love you’re given every day!

Sometimes when I see a falling star up in the cosmos…

Whisking, fast and fearless through the darkness, it is almost…

With its fiery glow reminding me it must be on its way…

‘EVERMORE!” Quotes the Angel from the doorway…

EVERMORE! EVERMORE!

Sometimes if the moon is full with brightness, like a sentry…

Beaming, sure and steady up above the world so empty…

Then its constancy reminds me that it cannot disobey…

“EVERMORE!” Quotes the Angel from the doorway…

EVERMORE! EVERMORE!

Consider your ways!

Love your fellow man just as you love yourself.

Consider your ways!

Share with all around you what’s been on the shelf.

Give the love you’re given every day!
