Free Snow Trees Crochet Pattern

These crocheted trees can be displayed individually or stacked on top of each other to make one larger tree.

Materials:

1 oz. green worsted weight yarn

1 oz. white worsted weight yarn

Size J crochet hook

Gauge: 2 rnds dc=1 1/2"

Small tree: 3 1/2" tall

Medium tree: 4" tall

Large tree: 4 1/2" tall

Stacked trees: 7 1/2" tall

This pattern is worked holding 2 strands of yarn together throughout.

Small tree

Rnd 1: With one strand green and one strand white, ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, 4 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (5 dc and top of tree is formed).

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (10 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same dc, dc in next dc, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, rep from * around, join as before (15 dc).

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * once, dc in last 3 dc, join as before (18 dc).

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * twice, dc in last 2 dc, join as before, fasten off (22 dc).

Medium tree:

Rnds 1-5: Work same as for small tree.

Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * 3 times, dc in last 2 dc, join as before, fasten off (27 dc).

Large tree:

Rnds 1-6: Rep as for medium tree.

Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * 4 times, dc in last 3 dc, join as before, fasten off (33 dc).
