There have been many famous duos over time. The following is a list of famous duos, in alphabetical order in addition to a short description of who they are.

There have been many famous duos over time. The following is a list of famous duos, in alphabetical order in addition to a short description of who they are.

Abbot and Costello: William Abbott and Lou Costello were American comedy performers who worked in radio, television and film. They were one of the 40’s most popular duos and have topped the list of many a list of famous duos both based on the alphabet and popularity. They are the owners of the classic, "Who's on First?" routine.

Adam and Eve: This couple rounds out the top of the bibles list of most famous duos as not only the first man and woman, but also the first sinners. They lived thousands of years ago and are famous for their genetic contribution to all society.

Barbie and Ken: This couple is famous in the toy industry and has topped many a list of famous duos. They have existed for decades in many different forms and have been the object of attention for many young girls and many toy collectors as well.

Batman and Robin: This dynamic duo has been gracing the television screen and the big screen for decades as well. These are possibly the most well known super heroes ever in addition to the biggest super here duo.

Beavis and Butthead: MTV phenomena. Enough said.

Bill and Ted: Lead characters of the self titled, “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures” and not so popular, “Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.” These timeless characters are a product of the 20th century.

Bonnie and Clyde: Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were robbers and criminals who traveled the United States during the Great Depression between 1931 and 1935. Even though they were famous for bank robberies, they preferred to rob small stores or gas stations since they are lower profile gigs. Supposedly they were murderers as well, taking the lives of at least nine police officers, and other bystanders.

Laurel and Hardy: This popular comedy team was comprised of British Stan Laurel and American Oliver Hardy. Part of their gig was that Laurel was very thin and Hardy was very heavy. They became performed on stage in the early 20th century, but were primarily famous for their work in film.

Lewis and Clark: Famous for the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark were the first to venture to the Pacific coast and back. This took place in the late 1700’s and has been the basis for many exploration stories of the period.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse: This Walt Disney creation tops the list of the most famous duos in the cartoon industry. These character have been on TV, the big screen and on stage and have probably grossed more money than any cartoon character ever has or will.

The Wright Brothers: Wilbur and Orville Wright were two Americans who invented and built the world's first successful airplane. Two years afterward the original model, the brothers developed the machine into the first modern fixed-wing aircraft more similar to what we see today in the old movies.
