Green-cleaning for your floors without the use of harmful chemicals couldn't be easier.

Here's how to clean your tile or linoleum floors the all natural and green way, with no toxic chemicals. Not only is this method better for the environment, but it's healthier for your family too. It's also budget friendly, since you don't need to spend money on expensive cleaners, so what are you waiting for, go clean those floors!

Get rid of any scuff marks by making a baking soda paste. Just mix a little baking soda and water and apply directly to the mark with a sponge. It will easily remove the mark. Be sure to rinse with a clean sponge, or your floor will have film over the area where the mark was removed.

Fill up a bucket with hot water. Add 1/2 cup of plain white vinegar. Next, add a squirt of plain dish washing liquid. It doesn't require much. This is a great way to clean most any hard floor surface. The white vinegar is not only a good disinfectant, but it will help to remove buildup. Your floors will be clean and shiny without any soap residue left behind.
Be sure to clean floors regularly, in order to alleviate the need for harsher chemicals. Floors that are cleaner to start with also need less scrubbing, so try to mop at least once a week for best results.

You may notice a little vinegar odor during the mopping process, but have no fear. The vinegar smell will dissipate after your floors are dry.  Vinegar really helps floors shine too.
