Attracting Good Luck in 2010!

Dec 29th, 2009 by HappyGoLucky

If 2009 wasn't all you could have wished for, maybe you somehow attracted a little bad luck. For 2010, lets try attracting some good luck. Hey, what could it hurt?? There just might be something in it!!

Lets get started. I'm so in need of some luck this year!!

*It seems that if a black cat walks toward you... she brings good luck. However, if she walks away... she takes the luck with her!

*Finding a penny on the sidewalk... I wonder how many people ever stop to pick them up anymore. I did know a girl that actually had a small glass jar that sat on her desk full of pennies that she had found. Kind of a nice idea if you are the least bit superstitious. I'm actually thinking about putting on of those jars on my desk to bring me luck in 2010. I wonder how many pennies I could find in a year?? Update... I have a jar sitting right by my bed and I have already found a couple of pennies... and ONE QUARTER! That has to mean major good luck!

*just remembered that I walked past a penny yesterday. I wonder what that does to your luck??

*Sneezing three times before breakfast supposedly brings you good luck! That particular superstition particularly caught my attention because I have this habit of ALWAYS sneezing in sets of three. I never thought very much about it until I read this superstition. Anyone sneeze more than three times at a time?? Had to ask!

*To find a horseshoe is supposed to bring good luck. I guess that is why a British bride has a tiny horseshoe hanging from a white ribbon attached to her wedding bouquet. At the moment, I’m trying to find one for my new soon to be daughter-in-law. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I only wish I had thought of it on our last trip to England.

*There is definitely something to “beginner’s luck”. If you think back, you will probably remember lots of occasions when luck seemed to be yours for the taking.

*Always get out of bed on the same side as you got in. Yes, bad luck awaits if you don’t!!

Note... And be warned. There is a very good chance that one of these superstitions will stick in your head, but I guess that’s okay, seeing that all of these bring good luck!
