This is a different kind of appetizer. It uses only 5 ingredients. Great for surving at parties! Super Bowl is coming!

The Ingredients You Need Are:

  • 12 thin slices of Genoa salami
  • 12 thin slices provolone cheese
  • 12 large, fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup Gorgonzola cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • Waxed paper
  • DIRECTIONS:

1Let the provolone stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes. In a small bowl, combine the milk and Gorgonzola cheese.

To make one of two rolls, using waxed paper, slightly overlap the 6 slices of provolone, forming a rectangle. Top with 6 slices of the salami and 6 basil leaves. Drop by spoonful (dollop), on the basil leaves, half of the Gorgonzola mixture. Beginning from the short side, roll, using the waxed paper to lift. Wrap the finished roll in waxed paper or plastic wrap and place seam down on a platter. Repeat the above to make a second roll. Refrigerate wrapped rolls at least 30 minutes and up to overnight. Cut rolls in 1/2 inch slices and serve. Serve with flat bread or crackers.

I know to a lot of guys this is girly food.  But with cheese and salami, c'mon!
