How to hear the message of Wind Spirit

Introduction: Every aspect of Mother Earth has something to teach us. On one of those windy, blustery days or nights, here is how you can connect with Wind Spirit to hear its message.

Step 1: It is one of those windy, blustery days or nights. You wonder if there is something to be learned from the spirit of this wind.

Step 2: Either have a pad of paper and a smooth-writing pen available or a word processing package open to a blank page. Record the date.

Step 3: Write down the following question:

Wind Spirit, please share your message with me. I am eager and willing to learn from you. I thank you in advance for your guidance.

Step 3: Get in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Take three to five deep, calming breaths until you feel lighter and more relaxed.

Step 4: Listen to the wind blow. Make an effort to feel at one with the wind. Concentrate on generating a feeling of kinship and love for that wind. Feel a sense of gratitude for its willingness to share its message with you. Know that this wind is fulfilling a special purpose, as all aspects of God are here to fulfill a special purpose as well.

Step 5: When you feel ready, place the pen in your hand or your hands on your computer keyboard. Write or type whatever message comes to mind. Here is a sample of what you might hear from Wind Spirit:

Have you been feeling cloudy, foggy-brained, and stifled in your thinking? I, Wind Spirit, am here to help blow all the cobwebs out of your mind – to free you up to speak your truth to one and all, to free yourself up from feeling limited or fettered in any way. Notice my power. Notice that it ebbs and flows. Now you hear it. Now you don’t. Now you see the trees and leaves blow. Now they gently stir. There is a rhythm and rhyme to life. There are times to allow your creative juices to flow free. There are times to busy yourself with tasks and chores and workloads. There are times to allow yourself to rest and recharge for the next great surge of productivity. Next time you feel stifled or overwhelmed, sit down, breathe deeply, and remember the message of Wind Spirit. Observe and honor your body rhythms, your need to express and produce, and your need to recharge. Go in peace, my child. Know that all is well with you and the Universe at large. Know that just like you are a child of the divine, I, Wind Spirit, am an aspect of the divine as well. We each have a purpose to serve. Do what your heart directs you to do and well-being will truly abound.

Step 6: Once you feel you have received the complete message, give thanks to God for the gifts that Wind Spirit brings and express your gratitude to Wind Spirit directly for the guidance you received.

Tips: Don’t be concerned if this feels like it is simply coming from your imagination. Einstein stated that we use less than 10% of our brainpower. So whether this message comes from your other 90% or from Wind Spirit itself, if it brings you a sense of peace and fulfillment and helps you grow spiritually, you do not need to concern yourself with questioning the source of these insights.

Warnings: If you only receive negative messages or feel fear or alarm at what you hear, sever the connection immediately. Take three to five deep, calming breaths. Perhaps voice a prayer. Ask your spirit guide or guardian angel to shield you from this connection. Ask them to translate what Wind Spirit really intended to say. Please note that if you are truly making connections with spirit, it should feel peaceful and life-giving rather than threatening or negative in any way.
