Swiffer CarpetFlick Review

This gives a first hand review of the Swiffer CarpetFlick.

I was asked to product test the Swiffer Carpetflick in my home when they first came on the market. I loved how easy it was to put together and how easy it was to use. Having a family of six children, tow cats, and a dog there are always little messes that need to be cleaned up.

The CarpetFlick did a good job of picking up hair and little pieces of debris off of the rug. I did complain that the size of the head could be bigger since it did not take very long for the cleaning cartridges to be full. Swiffer has enlarged the cleaning surface from the original model so the cartridge needs to be changed less often.

One thing to remember is that the CarpetFlick is meant to be a quick fix of small spills between vacuuming. It was not made to be a replacement for vacuuming. If you try to use it that way and do your whole carpet with it then it will end up costing you a fortune in replacement cartridges. I found that it worked well when it was used as intended. Unfortunately, my children did not use it as intended. They thought it was great fun to use and would have quickly gone through all of the cartridges that came with the product test if I had let them.

I had to send the CarpetFlick back once the testing was over. Although I really liked the product I did not go out and buy one to keep. With such a large family, that is continually making messes, I did not feel that it would be worth the cost of the replacement cartridges. I would recommend the CarpetFlick to those who may only have an occasional mess to clean up between vacuums.
