No matter what your age or family orientation is, you might want to take a look at this article.

Now  the insurance people might really be angry with me for making this so plain, but I feel I need to express some tips here. You can be the judge for yourself to determine if this article has helped you determine if you need life insurance or not.

If a young person is full time employed the insurance is pretty inexpensive, so that draws people to have that coverage. If the premium is under $20 for 6 months, the outgo is a nice cushion just in case of a sudden demise. We never know when we are going to die, so we want to leave enough to take care of our burial. A person in the  early 20's, when leaving the earth prematurely, will also leave the person taking care of funeral arrangements with a little extra.  Since the policy is probably very new, there won't be much, but something is better than nothing. A person in their 20's generally has a car, so the extra could be supplied to pay off that loan as an option. Now consider putting those premiums aside into a credit union or a place where a yield will be more substancial than the returns on the insurance policy.Calculate out the amount, gather your interest rate and think.

When a person matures, life changes dramatically if one determines to marry. Now it is not only one they need to manage for after they leave this earth, it is their life partner. If both are working and no children are in the family yet, consider a lower premium policy to allow to provide some for the surviving spouse and look into investing in something that will be solid with a little amount also. This is not putting your eggs in one basket. If there is a need to increase the insurance coverage at some point in time, that is still reasonably priced until well up into the 30's and 40's.

Consider the length of time the insurance premiums will be paid. Ponder saving some on your own with some of those funds that would be spent on premiums.See in 5 years, which you are content with doing for the many years ahead.
